Eight-Legged creatures infest your blankets, pillows, couches, chairs, carpeting and more. They are only half a millimeter big yet a still living, eating and defecating in your house. They trigger allergy symptoms and feed on your dead skin. What am I talking about? Dust Mites. Many people are unaware that there are millions of dust mites in their house and know little to nothing regarding the eradication of dust mites. I will go through a few simple things you can do to get dust mites and their fecal matter out of your household.

Bathe your Blankets or Sheets in Intense Temperatures - Although dust mites prosper in temperate, humid areas, dust mites die in intense temperatures such as severe heat or extreme cold. Bathing your sheets in very hot water (130 degrees F and more) will annihilate a hefty percentage of dust mites from your blankets and sheets. Another option is to freeze your blankets, sheets, etc. Although the results are not as immediate (freezing dust mites to death takes about a day) as when you wash in hot water it is still an effective way to remove dust mites. Freezing is ideal for killing dust mites on a material that is too delicate to wash in hot water. After freezing or bathing your sheets it would be advisable that you wash your sheets, blankets etc. as freezing or heating simply kills the live mite, while wash would create the friction necessary to remove dead mites and mite feces.

Kill Mites by Using a Power head or Mini Turbine Tool - These vacuum tools will create agitation on items such as your mattress and couch fibers and help remove dust mite feces, deceased mites, and live mites. A power head or mini turbine head rotates at high velocity speeds, whipping the mites out of your mattress, couch and chairs.

Cover your furniture with plastic - Couches and mattresses provide mites with a place to latch on to and thrive. Lining your furniture with plastic prevents dust mites from having a place to latch on to. It is important to note that covering furniture should take place after vacuuming so you can effectively get rid of both living and dead mites in the couch.

Buy a Dehumidifier - As mentioned previously dust mites prosper in humid or moist areas, taking away the moisture in the house would create uncomfortable surroundings for the dust mites. Dust mites favor humidity and will leave with the absence of it in your house.

Not all Vacuum Cleaners that have a HEPA filter have true HEPA filtration. Remember Miele is a great brand to keep in mind because they have tried and true HEPA certified clean air leaving the vacuum.

The anti aging skin care guide in general comes from a cosmetic company. People are inclined to think that they are honest and they are likely to believe in their anti aging skin care treatment, but the companies are mainly interested in selling their product.

The best anti aging skin care guide that I read was put together by a dermatologist. I’ll give you the short summary with the most important points, since the original was kind of difficult to read.

It’s not exactly in “laymen’s terms”, but the anti aging skin care treatment that Dr. Kligman recommended truly makes sense. Unlike most of the things that you see on TV, it focuses on taking care of the skin’s health, in order to prevent additional problems and improve appearance.

It seems logical that a dermatologist would write an anti aging skin care guide, but in reality that is unusual. They don’t regularly believe that a topically applied anti aging skin care treatment can have a positive result. Like most doctors, they usually believe in injections, drugs and other more mainstream medical solutions.

A doctor named Albert Kligman believed that if you take care of the outermost of the skin’s layers, then the health of the inner layers will be protected. He recommended different treatments for different conditions. But, for each ingredient, he believed that the manufacturing process should be very specific, or the product would be ineffective. That’s why you often find anti aging skin care treatment that is ineffective. The ingredients may be right, but the manufacturing process is wrong.

In his anti aging skin care guide, Dr. Kligman recommended some ingredients called peptides. They are very small particles of amino acid proteins found in the skin. These amino acids he recommended are hyaluronic acid and keratin.

Some companies have pursued the use of keratin, but the peptide chains were surrendered inactive by the manufacturer’s incapacity to perform the process. Exclusively “Functional Keratin”, contains active peptide chains and stimulates production of collagen. Functional Keratin, which is created using a patented process, has the ability to reduce wrinkles and fine lines, and performs the task from the outside layers towards the inside layers of the skin.

Hyaluronic acid increases firmness, but it is quickly destroyed through an enzymatic process that occurs in the skin’s layers. The best anti aging skin care treatment contains an extract from Japanese kelp that blocks the enzymatic process, so levels of hyaluronic acid natural rise.

Another ingredient Dr. Kligman recommended in his anti aging skin care guide was grape seed extract, because they are free radical scavengers. Grape seed oil is also an effective moisturizer and creates an invisible layer that keeps in moisture. Moist skin has less of a tendency to crack and wrinkle.

The Dr. suggested also that anti aging skin care treatment should contain special compounds that change the light’s reflection, so that a person sees immediate results. This is basically for psychological gain. Many people become very depressed with their appearance.

Functional Keratin has demonstrated to have the ability to reflect the light, but there are two main reasons why it is a better choice. First, it improves the skin’s health and second it is not just a cosmetic like other compounds. A complete anti aging skin care guide would be extensive and include a lot more information, yet this can be sufficient information to lead you in the right direction.

It may seem that everywhere you turn in our society that alcohol plays a significant role. From many of our holidays and traditions, the availability and opportunity for alcohol is a reality. While drinking in moderating poses little or no threat, the trend of alcohol within the past few years is alarming. Not only are people drinking more, the age at which they begin drinking is getting younger and younger.

Let’s first understand the effects of alcohol on the brain. Alcohol falls into a drug category with effects similar to tranquillizers. Acting as a depressant on the system, it slows down brain functions and can reduce these functions permanently. As the brain slows down under alcohol’s influence, it needs higher and higher alcohol levels to reach the same effects. The end result is the development of an alcohol addiction as the body builds both a tolerance and a dependency on alcohol.

Alcohol can also cause;- 1) Dementia - The process of loss of memory, similar to Alzheimer’s dementia.

2)Psychosis - Nasty as you begin to hear voices.

3)Dependence - If you quit alcohol, withdrawal symptoms kick in and you will begin to experience shaking, nervousness and even seeing things that aren’t there.

4)Suicide - around 40% of men who have attempted suicide will have had a alcohol dependency related problem. - Almost 70% of suicide victims have done so while drunk.

Most certainly there is a connection between depression and alcohol. Self destructive behaviors of both mental and physical nature are common among people who are dependant on alcohol. These behaviors range from mood swings and irresponsibility to self affliction and suicide. Studies have also linked chemical changes in the brain to the consumption of alcohol. Alcohol increases feeling of depression by way of family problems, performance issues at work, and alcohol even effects memory and sexual performance that can led to frustration.

Alcohol is only a brief, temporary escape from the world. All of the problems are still there the next day, many times amplified by the added problem of drinking. Alcohol may seem the answer to facing life’s issues or to make events seem more fun and even making socialization easier, but this is only the mask that hides the real truth. The real truth is that alcohol will only create more problems for you and that temporary fix will eventually not be enough to escape from the downward spiral of alcoholism.

If you find yourself feeling depressed, the answer does not lie in alcohol. While it might seem to be the best or only solution, it will only lead to addiction as alcohol becomes a type of medication for your troubles. It becomes very hard when your loved one decides to leave the relationship. Because it requires two individuals to create and maintain a relationship, there are no certainties.
